An exciting opportunity has developed for an experienced clinical support worker to join the elective team on the Clatterbridge site. M2 Orthopaedic is a 20 bedded ring fenced elective orthopaedic ward. All of our patients are admitted for surgery. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the nursing staff in providing pre and postoperative care for all of our patients. Experience within care is essential and the care certificate although not essential is desirable. If you do not currently hold a care certificate, you must be willing to work towards achieving it. Due to the nature of elective work, M2 Orthopaedic has quieter periods, and during this time it is expected that staff will be moved to support our colleagues in Arrowe Park Hospital. A professional approach is required when asked to move. Main duties of the job
To assist Registered Nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team in implementing patients' care plans. Also undertake some clerical and domestic duties to ensure a safe environment. Job responsibilities

Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training
Level 2 in Care (or appropriate experience and commit to undertaking and completing within 18 months of commencement) If the Care Certificate is not held, this must be completed on commencement in role. Undertake all Mandatory training Completed clinical competencies for clinical tasks and procedures as appropriate Completed Care Certificate Experience working in a clinical environment Experience working in the NHS Knowledge and Skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Personal Attributes
Understand when to seek support and advice Aware of personal and professional limitations Ability to perform when under pressure Polite, friendly, approachable and self-motivated Disclosure and Barring Service Check
