Senior Care and Support Worker Location: Scarborough, North YorkshireEmployment Type: Shift Work/Part-Time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care and Support Worker to join our team in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals, ensuring their dignity, independence, and wellbeing. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference in people’s lives and thrives in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation, while respecting the individual’s dignity and preferences. Support individuals with daily activities and promote independence wherever possible. Monitor and report any changes in physical or mental health to senior staff or relevant professionals. Assist in developing and implementing care plans tailored to each individual’s needs. Build positive relationships with clients, their families, and external care providers. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with organisational policies and procedures. Work collaboratively with a team to ensure the delivery of seamless care services. Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality protocols. Qualifications and Skills Education: BTEC National in Health and Social Care (HCC) or equivalent. NVQ Level 2 in a relevant field or equivalent. Minimum of 4 GCSEs, grade C or above, including English (or equivalent qualifications).

Essential Skills and Experience: Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable but not essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping others. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
