The successful candidate(s) will assist the Health Improvement Practitioners in their delivery of the healthy lifestyles, weight management and mental health remits and carry out administration tasks for the team which will include tasks such as ordering resources, organising room hire, paying invoices and booking participants on to courses. Experience of working in health promotion/improvement plus some basic knowledge of conditions that could impact upon health and wellbeing is essential for this role. The successful candidate will receive regular supervision and training and personal development plans to help achieve their full potential. Qualifications and Knowledge
NVQ level 3 or equivalent or experience working in health promotion/improvement Documented evidence of participation in training activities An understanding of the implications of cultural difference for service delivery Understanding the role of the Health Improvement Team Knowledge of Wrexham/Caia Park and/or Flint Knowledge of NHS and Local Health Boards Degree in related subject Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering Experience
Demonstrable experience in health promotion and/or community development Basic knowledge of some conditions that could impact upon health and wellbeing Experience of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working Experience of delivering health promotion programmes Experience in working directly with people with communication challenges/other additional needs Experience of practical good preparation/demonstration Awareness of Health & Safety legislation & practices Skills & Attributes
