We are seeking to recruit a highly enthusiastic and motivated person, who has a positive and forward-thinking attitude towards working with service users who have an acquired brain injury and present with cognitive, behavioural, and emotional problems. The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team which includes a Psychiatrist, Psychologists, Physiotherapist, OT’s, Speech Therapist, Social Worker, and Nursing Staff. Main duties of the job
To provide care for adults with an acquired brain injury in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. Assist therapy team with the delivery of rehabilitation programmes. Help facilitate patients engaging in prescribed rehabilitation programmes. Help patients maintain safety by carrying out prescribed supportive observations. Escort patients in the local community as part of their rehabilitation programme. Escort patients to appointments at other hospitals or clinical facilities. Complete NEWS 2. Report to Nurse in Charge, medical staff, or therapy staff as appropriate. Act as witness to medication. Support patients to engage in both therapeutic and recreational activity. Facilitate patients’ access to food and drink and document same. Assist in the monitoring of patients’ sleep patterns and document same. Working for our organisation

Contribute to the delivery of a planned programme of care under the direct supervision of the qualified nurse. Carry out individual rehabilitation programmes as defined by the team, under supervision or direction. Report general observations and provide feedback to the qualified nurse both verbally and in written formats. Carry out physical aspects of rehabilitation under the direction of the physiotherapist, speech therapist, occupational therapist, and/or nurse as required. Assist the qualified nurse to administer medication to service-users. Maintain accurate charts that contribute to the assessment of a service-user's physical condition. Contribute to the development of risk management plans for service users. Escort service users, as directed by the qualified nurse. Person specification

NVQ Level 2 / 3 or willingness to work towards. Good standard of education. KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
