Main duties of the job
To provide clinical and administrative support for the provision of dental care in Defence Primary Health Care (Dental) dental centres, to enhance force generation and operational capability and minimise dental morbidity on operations. Job responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to: Maintaining the standard and cleanliness of the surgery and accommodation for which you are responsible, reporting any deficiencies and following all local policies and protocols. Providing clinical and administrative support for the provision of dental care in DPHC dental centres, enhancing force generation and operational capability and minimising dental morbidity on operations. Ensuring adequate stocks of consumable dental materials are available within the surgery. Providing chairside support to the operator for all operative procedures. Please refer to the attached Job Description and Person Specification for the full list of duties. The sift will be completed within 5 working days of the vacancy closing date. Interviews will be held on a date to be confirmed. Qualifications
National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN) Certificate or NVQ in Oral Health Care Dental Nursing Level 3. Registrations and Memberships
Must be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC). Please provide your membership registration number. You are required to be registered with the relevant professional body, as detailed in the advert, prior to submitting your application. Your application will not progress should you fail to provide a valid membership registration number. If found successful for this position, you will be required to provide evidence of your immunity to Hepatitis B. Please note that evidence of your vaccination is not a proof of your immunity, but your serology levels will be required. Failure to provide sufficient evidence may result in the offer of employment being withdrawn. Candidates who hold the qualifications but are not yet registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) are eligible to apply for this vacancy. However, if found successful it is a requirement that you are registered with the GDC prior to starting in the post. This post does not offer any assistance with relocation allowances. Salary
£26,530 to £29,114 a year, per annum. RRA £1500, pro rata for part-time.
