Care Assistant for a young boy P/T @ £16.41/hr in Berwick-upon-Tweed - FTE - £23.4k - Berwick-upon-Tweed - TD15
We are looking to recruit a committed enabler to support an 8-year-old young boy who has a diagnosis of autism. The support will be offered to provide a range of activities within the local community, including walks in the park, countryside, and woodlands. On occasions, drives out in the car will be required.
Main Duties
4 hours per week in 7 weeks of the school holidays, increasing to 8 hours per week for the 6 weeks of Summer. To build a secure relationship with the young boy and his family. To encourage interactions appropriate to the activities being accessed. To prompt the young boy with toileting needs when required. To administer medication if required; full training will be provided. Essential Criteria
Have a high degree of initiative. Be punctual and reliable. Be flexible. Have a happy, positive, caring nature. Have an outgoing personality. Rates of Pay
£16.41 per hour. 5.6 weeks holiday (pro rata). Out-of-pocket expenses will be met by the Employer. This post is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and references (cost to be met by Employer). A car driver is essential and must have Business Insurance. Further Information
