An exciting opportunity has arisen on Lyme ward for a Band 6 Charge Nurse or Ward Sister. We are looking to recruit a motivated, experienced, dynamic forward-thinking professional who is seeking a new challenge as a Sister/Charge Nurse. This post requires an experienced Registered Nurse to be flexible with their shifts to work long days, nights, and weekends. Lyme Ward is a highly specialist surgical 28 bedded ward offering post-operative care for Colorectal Patients. Our patient group comprises of elective, acute, high dependency post ITU, and emergencies. As part of the management team, your lead role will be in driving standards clinically to ensure optimum patient safety and experience. You will be expected to initiate and lead change on this well-established specialist ward. Both organisational and negotiating skills will be essential in achieving both your management and clinical goals. Main Duties of the Job

As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients stay healthy when they need it most. Job Responsibilities: Daily clinical roles would include ward coordination, teaching/supporting team members, attending ward multi-disciplinary team meetings, delivering and monitoring high standards of care for our specialties. Support the Clinical Nurse Manager with management tasks such as sickness/capability monitoring, appraisals, training/competencies, recruitment, and rostering. Demonstrate evidence of leadership, motivation, excellent communication skills, and good time management. Have an interest in developing your leadership and management skills. Interview Date:
