Slough, UK . About The Role

As a Drug Substance Project Lead, you will be responsible for leading development projects, depending on their complexity and phase, from preclinical to commercial launch and life cycle management. You will define and implement integrated strategies in collaboration with subject matter experts and ensure alignment with overall CMC strategies. Who You Will Work With

You will work closely with a sub-team of empowered functional subject matter experts and scientists, as well as other project leaders and stakeholders across functions and organizations within UCB. What You Will Do Lead one or more development projects from preclinical to commercial launch and life cycle management. Act as the functional representative in the Technical Solutions Team (TST) and liaise with key stakeholders. Define and implement integrated functional development strategies in line with overall strategy. Lead a sub-team of technical functional subject matter experts and facilitate detailed discussions. Manage risks, ensuring all major risks are identified, reported, and mitigated. Provide scientific leadership, project management, and ensure compliance with governance processes. Interested? For this role, we are looking for the following qualifications, experience, and skills: Master’s degree or PhD in a related field. Strong knowledge in Drug Substance (DS), Drug Product (DP), or Analytical development. Experience in regulatory and quality requirements for different clinical phases. Ability to drive decision-making in a multidisciplinary matrix organization. Strong project management skills. Excellent communication skills.
