Main duties of the job As a paediatric nurse, you will work alongside a well-established and experienced team and support newly qualified paediatric nurses during the induction and preceptorship phase.

Person Specification Qualifications/Training Essential Registered Children's Nurse Achievement of clinical skills of practice and a willingness to develop skills and knowledge
Desirable Mentorship Qualification Demonstrate professional development pre and post-registration
Knowledge and Experience Essential Experience of working with children and families within a health care setting or similar environment. Experience of working with children and young people with developmental delay and/or complex health needs. Evidence of continuous professional development. Participation in data collection and audit activities.
Desirable Experience of carrying out clinical procedures e.g. venepuncture. Knowledge of audit process and experience of undertaking audit and presenting findings. Previous pre and post registration- caring for children in hospital.
Personal Attributes & Skills Essential Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills with multidisciplinary team/client/relatives. Demonstrate a caring manner with an understanding disposition. Be interested and committed to caring for children and families from any type of cultural and environmental background or illness.
