Fertility Nurse/Midwife – Berkshire Area – Full time – Up to £38,000 (Depending on experience) – Fertility Clinic

About the Role They are looking for a Specialist Fertility Nurse to join our dedicated team. You will be part of a group of expert nurses providing treatments such as IVF, ICSI, Ovulation Induction, Egg Donation and Sharing, Egg Recipiency, Surrogacy, and Surgical Sperm Retrieval.
Fertility Nurse/Midwife Key Responsibilities
Develop clinical competence in ART techniques such as treatment cycle planning and endocrine investigations. Support patients before, during, and after treatment cycles, tailoring care to meet individual needs. Provide expert consultation and ensure patients give informed consent, explaining risks and ethical considerations. Offer empathetic communication and counselling, including breaking difficult news and managing patient stress. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with HFEA and clinic policies. Assist with procedures such as oocyte retrieval and embryo transfer while adhering to safety and sterility standards. Coordinate treatment schedules, including drug prescriptions and patient bookings. Supervise preparation and care of patients during procedures and assist medical staff as required. Manage emergency situations effectively and support patients, families, and staff during critical moments.
Fertility Nurse/Midwife Skills & Experience Required Essential : 1st Level Registration with the NMC Interest in women’s health Competent computer skills Experience with phlebotomy, theatre, and recovery Desirable : Previous experience in fertility or women’s health Educated to degree level Teaching/mentoring qualifications Sonography experience
