About the Role:

You will lead and be responsible for our Financial Accounting team within Financial Services. The Financial Accountant is responsible for all aspects of financial accounting and treasury functions including providing authoritative advice on taxation matters. The post holder will provide a comprehensive financial accounting service to our University, its subsidiary companies, joint ventures and the ARU Foundation Trust.

You will be an enabler for Financial Services to add value to the university. You will have a relevant professional qualification at postgraduate level (e.g. ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA). You will demonstrate proficiency in database reporting and spreadsheet applications. You will provide recommendations to senior staff, using innovative solutions and practical implementations. You will have an intimate knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel. With strong management and interpersonal skills, you will be motivational and a good influencer, and networker.

Minimum Requirements:

- Relevant professional qualification at postgraduate level (e.g. ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA) - Proficiency in database reporting and spreadsheet applications - Strong management and interpersonal skills
