CNC Programmer - Sliding Head

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a leading high-precision component manufacturing firm? We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to take on the role of a Sliding Head Machinist.
Location / Hours:
Based in Watford, you'll work Monday to Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and Friday from 8:00am to 1:00pm. Overtime or additional hours may be required depending on the workload.
CNC Programmer - Sliding Head Duties:
Setting and programming Citizen Sliding Head Lathes (using Mitsubishi controls) and Star Sliding Head Lathes (using Fanuc controls) for the manufacture of prototype and small to medium batch components. Working with a range of materials including stainless steel, aluminium, and brass. Producing components to aerospace standards, ensuring high precision and quality. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings accurately.
The Ideal CNC Programmer - Sliding Head:
Proven experience setting and operating CNC Lathes to produce small to medium batch high-precision components. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Engineering apprenticeship is advantageous, but relevant experience is the most important factor.
Additional Pay and Benefits:
Yearly bonus. Company pension, free on-site parking. 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday with potential for overtime.
