We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse - Endoscopy who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients. You will participate as a member of the nursing and multi-disciplinary team in providing high standards of evidence based care. You will provide care, support and advice for patients, relatives and carers undergoing Endoscopic procedures. You will also work and communicate with the Endoscopy coordinator to organize the Endoscopy list on a daily basis, planning the session in a timely and efficient way. Main duties of the job

Develop and demonstrate an effective understanding, safe practice, and a high standard of working knowledge of the Endoscopy Nursing role, to include the pre-assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for both ward and day care patients making adjustments where appropriate during: Admission or pre-visit and Pre-assessment. Qualifications / Training

Registered Nursing qualification on the NMC register. GCSE Grade A-C in Math's & English or skills level 2 math's & English or equivalent. Commitment to lifelong learning. Previous Experience

Experience working in a MDT team. Experience of providing and receiving complex, sensitive information. Previous Endoscopy experience or involvement with Gastroenterology patients. Practice assessor qualification or equivalent. Skills

Flexibility. Commitment to develop in Endoscopy role and lifelong learning. Able to work under pressure and prioritize workload. Technically minded. Knowledge

Principles of Infection control and health and safety. Experience of audit in the clinical area. Awareness of health promotion. Endoscopy / Gastroenterology knowledge. Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. £29,970 to £36,483 a year per annum and on call requirement allowance.
