The Role: An opportunity has arisen within Legal Services for a dynamic individual to work in an evolving, ambitious and forward-thinking service with a great reputation. As our Legal Assistant, you will work within our small but busy team providing support to the fee earners as well as other officers across the Council and Councillors. The role is varied, covering preparation of routine letters and completion documents on behalf of fee earners, preparation of litigation bundles, development of the legal case management system, preparation of Tree Preservation Orders, licence agreements and Industrial Unit leases, and dealing with general enquiries relating to the work of the team. We require a strong team player and excellent communicator with proven analytical skills. We are looking for someone educated to degree level with experience in a similar role working in one or more of the following areas: Commercial Property, Planning, Civil or Criminal Litigation, Data Protection, and Information Governance. Previous local authority experience is not required. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and career at an award-winning local authority.
