A well-established law firm based in Seaton is looking for a dedicated and motivated Private Client Paralegal or Junior Fee Earner to join their small, friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with Private Client experience, perhaps from an assistant role, who is ready to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will work closely with a highly experienced lawyer and a secretary, offering the opportunity to develop technical expertise and gain valuable experience in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: Assisting with a variety of Private Client matters, including but not limited to Wills, Probate, Trusts, and Estate Administration. Drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), and other legal documents under supervision. Supporting the Solicitor in managing a caseload and progressing matters efficiently. Liaising with clients, offering support and maintaining strong, professional relationships. Conducting legal research as required and providing reports to the supervising lawyer. Assisting in the administration of estates, including dealing with the distribution of assets and probate procedures. Managing files and documents in accordance with firm procedures and regulatory requirements. General administrative support for the team as needed, including maintaining accurate records and filing systems. Key Requirements: Previous experience in a Private Client environment, ideally as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant. Knowledge of Private Client matters such as Wills, Probate, and Trusts. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy and precision. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues. A proactive, can-do attitude, with a desire to take on responsibility and grow in the role. A good understanding of legal software and Microsoft Office applications. Ideally, the candidate will have a law degree or equivalent qualification (though this is not essential).
