Southend-on-Sea Vets for Pets are looking for a talented veterinary surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team!
The practice opened their doors as a standalone practice in 2012 and has a lovely, loyal, and varied client base. We see a wide variety of medical and surgical cases, including exotics and orthopaedics. We pride ourselves on being a family-feeling team with lots of fun and laughter whilst providing excellent gold standard care.
Our team is led by Gavin Young MRCVS, who has a keen interest in orthopaedics. Our team consists of 1 JVP/Vet, 4 Vets, 5 RVNs, 4 client care advisors, and a practice manager. We are a well-equipped surgery with a laparoscopic kit, on-site ultrasound, digital and dental X-Ray, Multiparameter Monitor, Rigid Endoscope, separate dog and cat ward, isolation ward, in-house lab, and diathermy machine. The existing team have interests and certificates in areas including medicine and Critical Care.
The role is Full Time, 40 hours a week and 1 in 4 weekends (Saturday 9am-12pm, no Sundays, OOH or bank holidays)
The Ideal vet to join us will: Be personable Be independent, proactive, and a team player with excellent communication skills Understand the value of good communication, wanting to build rapport with our clients, patients, and colleagues Have special interests that will be encouraged and supported.
