We are currently looking for a Laboratory Technician who will be responsible for carrying out analysis by wet chemistry techniques, NIR analysis, and NIR scanning. You’ll prepare and analyze samples for vitamins (HPLC), mineral analysis (ICP), and enzymes together with NIR analysis of raw materials, feeds, and forages. With a keen focus on meeting turnaround times for analysis, you will also assist and support the senior analyst in their duties and ensure the laboratories, stock rooms, and associated areas (and all equipment within) are clean and properly maintained, and that all samples are stored correctly and clearly. To apply, you should be able to demonstrate experience of working in a practical, hands-on role, preferably within an analytical laboratory environment. Previous experience of working with databases is necessary and experience of using LIMS would be an advantage. You will be methodical in your approach and will enjoy taking care and attention over your work. You will be computer literate, able to work on your own initiative, and be used to working as part of a small, flexible team. You will be flexible in your approach and enjoy training and learning new skills.
