In collaboration with a dedicated team, the successful candidate will assess patients upon their arrival in the recovery area and develop an immediate post-operative management plan. This may be either nurse-led or in partnership with the anaesthetist, ensuring patients are returned to their ward in an optimal condition to continue their post-operative recovery. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in recovery settings and will be expected to uphold high standards of clinical judgment, intervention, and decision-making, demonstrating a comprehensive level of knowledge and skills pertinent to the role. Demonstrated leadership capabilities are essential, as you will be expected to provide guidance and support during clinical shifts. You should have experience in team management, coordinating the shift and department while ensuring the safety of both patients and staff at all times. Working alongside the rest of the Band 6 team, you will play a key role in supporting and educating staff in the recovery department. Collaborating with the ward manager, you will help maintain safety and high standards of care while delivering quality services. We anticipate that you will possess strategic insight and be able to utilize this knowledge to innovate and enhance both the immediate and long-term goals of the recovery unit. About us
