Our client, a leading law firm with offices in the heart of Newcastle, are recruiting for a Clinical Risk Paralegal to join their team. The role would suit a paralegal who has ideally gained 2 years' experience within a defendant clinical risk department, though candidates with claimant clinical negligence experience are also encouraged to apply. Previous clinical risk/negligence experience is essential for this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling their own caseload of litigated and pre-litigated clinical risk cases, acting on behalf of the NHS and other medical providers, as well as supporting Solicitors on more complex higher value clinical risk work. Responsibilities:

Reviewing medical evidence Dealing with correspondence Instructing experts Drafting witness statements Completion of legal documents Instructing counsel Negotiating settlement Salary to £27,000 dependent on experience.
