Role: Radiology Department Assistant Location: The Wellington Hospital (North and South Building and the Platinum Medical Centre), London Department: Radiology (Rotation through multiple areas of Radiology) Hours: Full Time Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week Contract Type: Permanent Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) + employee benefits scheme to include private medical insurance We're looking for a Radiology Department Assistant (RDA) to join our Radiology team at The Wellington Hospital, currently rated 'Good' by the CQC. As a Radiology Department Assistant in the Radiology Department you will assist with day-to-day roles; supporting procedures, meeting and greeting patients, completing necessary documentation, and helping maintain the smooth running of the department. Duties & Responsibilities: Organize Ultrasound workload including charging patients, chaperoning patients when required, and dealing with all necessary paperwork. Assist the radiographers in preparing patients for all imaging procedures as necessary. Assist with moving patients within the department as necessary. Assist with setting up for procedures as required. Assist in maintaining the tidiness and cleanliness of the department. Help with the maintenance of stock levels in all rooms e.g. linen and consumables. Collect and escort in-patients to and from the department. Rotate between departments/areas/modalities as required. Respond appropriately to accidents or untoward incidents/occurrences that arise within the unit and provide accurate documentation. Be conversant with all local policies and procedures and act accordingly. Ensure the safety of patients and staff and ensure that all incidents are reported to the Manager. Ensure that all equipment is used safely and effectively. Experience of working with members of the public is essential. Manage all CD uploads/burns. Image transfer to and from other organizations and to patients via IEP/CIMAR. Ensure GDPR and data protection policy is followed for all imports/exports of images. Assist with all relevant departmental administration processes. What you'll bring: UK Hospital experience essential Radiology Department experience is preferred Care certificate or equivalent - Essential Ability to work independently and within a team.
