We have an exciting opportunity for a Psychology Graduate who wishes to develop their experience working as an Assistant Psychologist across 2 services within the Physical Health Psychology Team based at King's Mill Hospital, Nottinghamshire. The post is a fixed term for 2 years and is contracted for 0.4 wte (2 days), to start as soon as possible. The Assistant Psychologist will be an integral part of the team and work under supervision of the Lead Clinical Psychologist in Colleague Wellbeing. We hold the development of people within our department as crucial to working in line with our service and Trust values. We will provide you with the opportunity to develop professionally within a committed and supportive Clinical Psychology Service. The role sits within the wider Physical Health Psychology Department, and there may also be opportunities to shadow psychological assessments within 1:1 therapy and/or group settings in other physical health specialties. We would welcome applications from Psychology Graduates who can demonstrate a genuine interest and knowledge of staff wellbeing in health and social care. This post is to assist the Clinical Psychologist leading the Colleague Wellbeing Service. The primary focus of the post is to evaluate the effectiveness of the Service, alongside the research and design of psycho-educational resources to support colleague wellbeing. There will be the opportunity to deliver brief psychological interventions to colleagues under supervision of a Clinical Psychologist. Job responsibilities

Qualifications
Psychology honours degree 2:1 or higher, meeting the requirements for graduate basis for registration with the British Psychological Society. Candidates with 2:2 degree will be considered if they have completed a postgraduate course (MSc or PhD level) Postgraduate qualification in Psychology (e.g. MSc or PhD) Short courses e.g. CBT, ACT, trauma, understanding complex clinical presentations Experience
Clinically relevant postgraduate work experience IT literacy including Excel, Word, statistical packages such as SPSS/R/Stata Experience of working in adult mental health/physical healthcare/acute setting Experience of NHS clinical psychology services Experience of managing a large database of data Knowledge
Knowledge of psychological assessment and intervention Knowledge of database management using SPSS & statistical analysis packages Knowledge of issues which can impact on NHS staff Knowledge of models of intervention for staff experiencing trauma at work Knowledge of psychological issues associated with critical care admissions Knowledge of common mental health difficulties, burnout, moral injury, etc. Knowledge of applied psychological models, e.g. CBT, brief interventions, etc. Knowledge about clinical psychology and interest in pursuing a future career in these areas Skills
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Numeracy, data collection and analysis skills using SPSS/R/Stata, report writing skills Ability to reflect on practice and accept clinical supervision Good team working and interpersonal skills, reliable, creative and punctual A professional approach to work, and works within service and policy guidelines e.g. confidentiality, attendance, leave, conduct Understanding of ethical issues in clinical research practice Evaluation of outcome measures Presentation and training skills Values and behaviours
