Direct Medics is a Registered Supplier to the Northern Ireland Health and Social Care Trust Framework. We are currently working with Nutrition Assistants to help them find new and exciting opportunities with the Trusts here in Northern Ireland. As such, we are now recruiting on behalf of the Belfast Trust for a Childrens Nutrition Assistant to work with the Nutrition and Dietetic Department in the Belfast Trust. The successful candidate will accurately and safely prepare and process special feeds for infants and children requiring specialised nutrition, following successfully passing a training programme delivered by Dietitians. Hours of work will be 18.75 hours per week (8.30am-4.30pm x2/1 half day) which will include weekends on a rota basis and cover for staff absences (additional hours may be available). Salary starting from £12.83 for the first 12 weeks and increasing to £13.35 thereafter for PAYE. This post will be for a 3 month duration with possibility of extension.
Minimum Requirements:
One year’s experience in a health and social care setting Food Hygiene Certificate (level 2) & Manual Handling Training Numeracy and literacy Skills Must undertake a training programme on preparation of special feeds delivered in RBHSC by Nutrition and Dietetic Dept and must demonstrate on completion of programme the ability to accurately/safely prepare and process special feeds for infants and children requiring specialised nutrition Benefits:
