We have an exciting opportunity to join our nursing team on the Paediatric ED at Basildon Hospital.
This role is for a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team. We are a busy ED and have a dedicated co-located PAU.
Main duties of the job
Duties will include caring for children and families in the acute A&E and paediatric unit, providing support to the junior members of the team, and coordinating beds across the service ensuring smooth flow.
You will be an experienced practitioner who can respond to conflicting demands. Deputise for the band 7 ward managers and act in a calm, professional manner at all times. Staff coordination across the paediatric service ensuring each area has safe levels.
