Position Overview: As a Primary Teaching Assistant with SEN experience, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to children with diverse learning needs. From assisting with classroom activities to providing one-on-one support, you will work closely with teachers and other staff members to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized support to children with SEN, including those with autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning challenges.

Assist the class teacher in implementing differentiated lesson plans and adapting materials to meet the needs of students with SEN.

Foster positive relationships with students, offering encouragement, reassurance, and guidance as needed.

Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff members to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans (BSPs).

Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents on a regular basis.

Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and safe.

Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting, with a focus on supporting children with SEN.

Understanding of different SEN conditions and strategies for supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with SEN.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and use your initiative to support student learning and wellbeing.
