Healthcare 1st Limited are a caring and committed care home provider and an excellent opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse to work with our client.
Our client is looking for an RGN/RMN/RNLD to work full time in a Detox Unit which provides care for clients with substance/alcohol misuse problems. The successful candidate will work the following shifts: x2 Days, 2 Nights then 5 Days Off, 12.5 hour shifts.
This is a permanent role with excellent pay and working conditions.
The post holder will support the Centre Manager and Lead Nurse in the provision of nursing care in the detox facility. S/he will be part of a team ensuring clients receive a high level of quality service and care while maintaining a safe environment for the clients and staff.
The main duty of the role will be supporting caseload management of the wider team. This will involve assessing, planning, and implementing clinical care while managing clients’ general health needs and responding to clinical and medical emergencies.
Managing crisis as first line intervention, assessing risk and safeguarding issues, responding and reporting appropriately within a risk management plan.
In the absence of the manager, lead nurse, and Team Leader, you will assume the day-to-day responsibilities of running and managing the centre and supervising the other members of staff on duty.
You must have:
An up-to-date NMC PIN
General nursing experience
Proven leadership skills
Excellent time management
A caring and compassionate personality
Honesty and reliability
Good communication skills
A professional manner
Motivation
Authorisation to work in the UK
The successful applicant must agree to a DBS *Basic / Enhanced * Disclosure under the Criminal Records Bureau procedures. Employment will be offered to the successful applicant subject to a satisfactory Disclosure report.
