Trainee Dental Nurse
We have an exciting opportunity for a bright and enthusiastic individual to join our Team. Ruabon Road Dental Practice provides general and cosmetic dentistry to private and NHS patients. It is a well-established and friendly Practice, conveniently located in Wrexham town centre with free on-street parking. No previous experience is required for the role as full in-house and remote training will be provided as the successful candidate works towards attaining a nationally recognised dental nurse qualification leading to the registration with the GDC. The candidate must be a confident, amenable, caring, well-presented team player and a non-smoker. The salary is the minimum living wage plus a contribution to our pension scheme plus various target bonuses plus treatment discount. Proposed working hours are Mondays to Thursdays 8.20am to 5.30pm, Fridays 8.20am to 4.30pm and approximately three Saturdays per year. As a dental nurse you will be providing exceptional care to our patients. You will be expected to provide chair-side support across the full range of treatment provision, infection control and the provision of dental care delivery by preparing treatment room, patient, instruments and materials. Key tasks to be carried out under supervision include: Provide full chair-side assistance to the dentist, therapist or hygienist. Prepare treatment room and prepare the patients for dental treatment. Provide instrumentation by sterilising and delivering instruments to treatment area. Maintain patient and practice confidentiality. Help with dental charting and note writing. General upkeep of the dental surgeries and premises. Monitor surgery stock and complete order sheets. Complete laboratory request forms. Check all lab work is returned and ready for each session. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules & regulations and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Monitor, support and reassure patients. Escort patients to and from surgeries. Perform Reception duties as part of the Admin team when required. Requirements:
GCSE's in Maths and English Grade C or above are essential. Valid Immunisations Certificate (Hep B) which can be arranged on accepting the role. Responsible attitude and a willingness to study and keep abreast with changes in the profession. Flexibility within working hours including occasional Saturdays.
