We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Consultant in Care of the Elderly on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful department.

Our client is currently one of the biggest trusts within the UK with over 20,000 NHS experts working within this trust. The site you'll be working at is a pioneering hospital responsible for acute and community health services, a specialist hospital for acute surgery, and is where the world's first IVF baby was delivered. The trust promotes a supportive and open culture focused on learning and improvement, contributing to their successful CQC rating through inclusivity and teamwork.

The successful appointee will be asked to fulfil various duties, such as: Continuing to provide established inpatient care for older people. Working towards the development of new and innovative geriatric services. Contributing personal vision for service improvement. Establishing robust geriatric services as a trust goal. Participating in potential frailty service expansion incorporating acute services. Delivering high-quality patient care in acute inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. Having dedicated inpatient ward responsibility. Clinically and educationally supervising junior doctor trainees. Participating in regular medical audits to improve patient care.
