About the role

The Pensions Service is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Administration team as a Pensions Clerk. You will be performance-focused and driven to provide excellent customer service. You must demonstrate a flexible approach to delivering all aspects of pension administration. We are a very friendly team and there is plenty of opportunity for development within the Pensions Service. What will you be doing?

The Pensions Clerk role sits within the Operations Team and is responsible for administration tasks including allocation of emails to other teams, answering telephone queries, allocation of the post, returning original documents to members via recorded delivery, responding to basic queries via email, member self-service, updating member records, and processing refunds of contributions. This customer-facing role is critical to ensure casework is either dealt with immediately at the point of contact or is efficiently allocated to the appropriate casework team. About you

Experience of working in a similar environment, where you have shown the ability to be calm under pressure and make timely decisions, would be an advantage. We will provide full and comprehensive training to give you the skills and confidence you need to complete the role. The successful candidates will have excellent attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively through all available channels, to both members and colleagues alike. About us
