Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT) is recruiting for a full-time Mental Health Retention Employment Specialist within their Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Team. The role covers the South of Lincolnshire, working with service users in the Adult Community Division. The position offers a salary of £29,970 – £36,483 per annum for 37.5 hours per week. LPFT is a highly-rated mental health and learning disability trust, providing services across Lincolnshire and employing around 2,900 staff. The role is to provide Individual Placement and Support to a caseload of service users with mental health conditions, helping them retain and access paid employment as part of their recovery process. Responsibilities
Support and advocate for service users at risk of losing their job due to mental illness Provide advice on employment rights, reasonable adjustments, and phased return to work plans Offer workplace support to promote inclusion and reduce stigma Conduct vocational assessments and create individually tailored programmes Engage with employers and seek out employment opportunities Address barriers to education, training, and employment Maintain effective communication with CMHT colleagues and external organisations Contribute to service targets and outcomes Participate in team meetings and supervision Ensure compliance with Trust policies and procedures Line manage and supervise support staff Work flexibly across the county as needed Minimum Requirements
Degree level education OR equivalent experience in supported employment OR NVQ Level 3/equivalent relevant training The Person
Essential skills and experience: Experience working with mental health service users Knowledge of employment legislation and disability equality Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Understanding of mental health issues and the benefits of work in recovery Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or Employment qualifications IPS training Experience with benefits agency and employment-related benefits
