We have an exciting opportunity to join our nursing team on the Paediatric ED at Basildon Hospital. This role is for a Band 6 Sister/ Charge Nurse to join our team. We are a busy ED and have a dedicated co-located PAU. Main duties of the job
Duties will include caring for children and families in the acute A&E and paediatric unit, providing support to the junior members of the team, and coordinating beds across the service ensuring smooth flow. You will be an experienced practitioner who can respond to conflicting demands. Deputise for the band 7 ward managers and act in a calm professional manner at all times. Staff coordination across the paediatric service ensuring each area has safe levels. Person Specification
NMC registration Evidence of strong post qualification experience A&E or PAU experience IV competencies Venepuncture/cannulation or willing to work towards Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. Salary: £37,338 a year (Per Annum, Pro Rata for Part Time) We look forward to your application.
