Description UCFS is looking for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others! We are currently seeking a

full-time (37.5hr) Dental Assistant

to join our team in Norwich. The Dental Assistant is responsible for assisting the dentist with patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the dental clinic.

Essential Responsibilities: Prepare patients for dental procedures and take their dental records and vitals Assist dentists with all dental procedures utilizing fourhanded dentistry. Sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a clean and safe working environment Educate patients on proper dental hygiene and care instructions Expose, develop, and duplicate radiographs; take impressions and pour models per generally accepted practice and department standards. Provide routine operational support such as tracking lab work, maintaining supplies in operatories, laundering staff scrub jackets and other duties as needed Return patient phone calls; phone in prescriptions and schedule patient appointments Requirements High School diploma or GED required Dental Assisting Certificate preferred, a minimum of 1-year of experience required for uncertified candidates Certificate in Radiology required Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate patient records All employees at UCFS are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 UCFS offers a comprehensive benefits package including - Flexible schedules Competitive salaries Generous paid time off including 3 weeks' vacation, 4 floating holidays and 10 sick days each year Medical, dental and vision insurance 401(k) plan with 6% employer contribution Paid life and disability insurance UCFS does not just welcome diversity, we celebrate it!
