Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace, they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Hygiene Manager to join their business.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Manage recruitment, holiday requests, absence management, and performance reviews, ensuring a motivated and high-performing team. Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to ensure all team members meet and exceed hygiene standards. Foster a positive and engaging work environment to achieve business objectives and maintain high team morale. Ensure all scheduled and unscheduled cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards. Conduct regular inspections to verify the effectiveness of cleaning activities and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards. Maintain comprehensive hygiene records, including CICs, COSHH risk assessments, and audit documentation, addressing non-conformances promptly. Lead customer and third-party hygiene audits, including unannounced visits, ensuring top-tier compliance. Oversee the safe and effective use of cleaning chemicals, manage stock, and maintain strong supplier relationships. Manage pest control operations, analyse reports, and implement corrective actions to maintain a pest-free environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement hygiene improvements, continuously monitoring and enhancing performance metrics.

About you:

Proven track record in a similar role in food/fresh manufacturing is required. Experience in managing direct reports. Competent in customer & third-party hygiene audits.
