We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join our Substance Misuse team at HMP Lindholme, a category C men's prison located in Lindholme, Doncaster.
Lindholme Prison is a category C prison based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, with a capacity of 1,010. This is working in a well-established team with very low turnover of staff. To work in their substance misuse team of 12, providing support in the psychosocial and supporting the recovering workers. Free parking, monthly well-being days, free gym on-site.
Hours
37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday 8-4pm, no weekends or nights.
Salary
This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £44,000 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Senior Substance Misuse Recovery Worker, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, prioritising patient care to develop individualised packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning.
Deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both a group and 1-1 setting with recovery at the centre of our healthcare wellbeing model.
Carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review individual recovery plans and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to service users.
Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects and liaise with prescribers.
Work with individuals on a 1-1 basis, providing advice and information.
Support in group work delivery and liaise with prescribers and Recovery Practitioners on clinical interventions.
Have a person-centred approach.

Qualifications required
Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD).
RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake.
Experience of working with opiate dependent patients.
Sound clinical substance misuse knowledge.
A non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
Ideally has worked within a forensic/prison environment.
Able to motivate and persuade others through advanced communication skills.
