The University of Lincoln is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Lecturer to join its Chemistry department. This role will involve contributing to teaching excellence and innovation in the areas of physical and inorganic chemistry, with a particular focus on surface chemistry, heterogeneous catalysis, and advanced material systems.

Your key responsibilities will be:

To deliver high-quality, engaging lectures, seminars, and practical sessions related to: Surface chemistry, physisorption, chemisorption, and adsorption isotherms. Mechanisms of heterogeneous catalysis. Surfaces, nano-assemblies, colloids, discontinuous phases, metastable systems, soft solids, nucleation, gels, and glass transition. Organometallic chemistry. To develop and/or update teaching materials, ensuring alignment with current research and industrial developments. To provide academic support to students, including guidance on coursework, practical projects, and career development. To be considered for this role, you will have:

Essentials:

A strong academic background in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field, with specialized knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Surface Chemistry and Adsorption Processes. Heterogeneous Catalysis. Advanced Material Systems, including colloids, soft solids, and nano-assemblies. Organometallic Chemistry. Desirables:

A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline (a PhD is desirable) or equivalent professional experience. Experience teaching or training in higher education or an equivalent setting. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage students effectively. A commitment to innovation in teaching methods and fostering an inclusive learning environment. A passion for interdisciplinary collaboration and academic excellence.
