Responsibilities
Help oversee Assistant Accountants working on Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable.
Support Month-end / Year-end close process and account reconciliations.
Draft the monthly Management Reporting packs working alongside the Finance Controller for distribution to the Senior Leadership Team.
Produce quarterly VAT returns/reconciliation and submission to HMRC.
Treasury tasks including preparation and monitoring of the Group's weekly cash flow.
Assist Financial Director / Controller with year-end audit preparation and fieldwork.
Assist with strategic financial management activities including pricelist updates, budget preparation, financial planning.
Ensure appropriate controls are in place and intercompany balances have been confirmed, assistance with Transfer Pricing and Group Consolidation.
Assist in improving the Financial Reporting and Dashboard / KPI reports for better controls and monitoring of performance.
Assist in the improvement of stock control, reporting and monitoring.
Support in any systems improvements, projects, and any new software rollouts.
Skills and Attributes
Accounting experience - creditors, debtors & reconciliations, P&L and BS.
Treasury accounting - management and reporting of cash flows.
Manufacturing experience - understand BOMs and Stock Management principles.
Advanced MS Excel and reporting skills (pivot tables, look-up tables, SUM IF).
SAGE, Quickbooks, Odoo, Concur and similar accounts, stock or expense packages.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Positive attitude, adaptable, flexible.
Qualification and Experience
Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
