Full Time Senior Residential Support Worker Children and Young People This is a great opportunity to join a very well established company that has supported young people for many years – a true market leader in this sector. High spec, good quality provisions for young people. Essential Criteria: Must have experience working with young people, in a support capacity minimum 12 months. For a senior position, you will also need a level 3 in Children and Young People or Health and Social Care. This is a senior position. Salary is £31,486 inc sleeps. Full UK Driving License is essential with Business Insurance. Full Time with an immediate start – very quick if you have a DBS on the update service. Our client is a leading provider of care to children and young people in the area and they are currently recruiting for a Support Worker on a permanent basis. This role involves supporting children in a residential unit. Salary is £27,559.35 + Sleeps (approximately £31k a year). Qualifications/Requirements: High standard of general education. Preferable: NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care – Children and Young People (CCYP) or equivalent. Willingness to undertake further training. Job Purpose: To be responsible for the provision of support for vulnerable people (service users) for the company. Main Duties & Responsibilities: To assist the young person’s allocated social worker in the delivery of the service. Provide transport/escort to the young person as directed in line with care plans. Conduct welcome and induction for young people. Ongoing assessments of service users’ needs. Provide ongoing support and monitoring of service users. Assist in welfare and NHS issues. Preparation of reports. Arrange appointments with various partner agencies. Maintain regular contact with service users. Inform service users of support groups. Assist move-on of service users. Accurately record, create, maintain, and update electronic records in respect of our service users. Prepare for and attend meetings as required or directed. Provide mediation to service users as required and/or directed. Effectively use IT packages to support the work of the company. Work effectively and cooperatively across multi-disciplinary teams. Observe and maintain strict confidentiality in respect of the service users, clients, and company. Pro-actively assist in the development of policies and procedures of the company. Report any housing issues to the services department and assist, where required, in the resolution of any defects. Undertake on-call duties as directed. Participate, where required, in office reception duties. Be prepared to work with service users on a 1/1 basis or support groups of 3 young people 24/7 where sleep-in shifts are required. Able to show flexibility to cover all offices across the company as and when required. INDSUP #12304492
