We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who would like to join our Pharmacy Stores and Dispensary team in the Pharmacy Department at Scarborough Hospital. This post involves working in a busy pharmacy store and dispensary, answering queries, receiving, processing, and delivering medicines and IV fluids to wards. Previous experience of manual handling would be beneficial. An understanding of stock management is crucial to this role; this involves checking, receiving, and storing medicines. Ensuring that medicines are stored appropriately and securely both in pharmacy and on wards, participating in stock-taking, and checking of medicines is an important part of this role, so attention to detail is vital. The post holder will also undertake various housekeeping duties including customer service, checking and filing documents, processing waste and excess medicines, and other duties supporting the efficient and safe operation of the pharmacy department. Previous pharmacy experience would be an advantage, but full training will be provided. You will also be required to undertake an NVQ level 2 in pharmacy services. About Us

Education, Qualifications and Training

Basic key skills preferably gained through secondary education. Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent. Maths and English at C (grade 4) or above. You must have proof of qualifications. Experience & Knowledge Required

Working within a pharmacy or healthcare environment. Skills & Attributes

Able to use a range of computer programmes relevant to the post. Aptitude & Personal Qualities

Flexible to changing work routines. Work as part of a team. Good communication & interpersonal skills. Able to handle moderate loads. Able to use own judgement to prioritise tasks.
