A team of Female Personal Care Assistants is required to support a young man who lives in St Helen Auckland, Bishop Auckland. This young man is visually impaired, has hearing loss, and is non-verbal.
Hours: Full-time and part-time hours available can be negotiated at interview. Hourly Rate: £11.44 per hour.
The role will involve providing social stimulus through playwork and sensory activities, either locally or in his home environment. Due to his disabilities, you will be expected to assist with his mobility needs and some personal care.
Experience and knowledge of working with children/adults with similar disabilities is preferable, but a caring, patient, and enthusiastic outlook on life is essential.
An enhanced DBS check will be required, which will be paid for by the employer.
