Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced medical office environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing exceptional customer service to patients, and ensuring smooth administrative processes. A strong understanding of medical terminology and experience with dental or medical office systems is highly desirable. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and check them in for their appointments. Answer phone calls promptly and manage inquiries regarding appointments, services, and patient information. Schedule and confirm patient appointments using office management software such as Dentrix or Epic. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Process patient information, including insurance verification and payment collection. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies. Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate efficient patient care. Handle any patient concerns or complaints professionally and effectively. Qualifications Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar front desk role within a dental or medical office is preferred. Proficiency in medical terminology is essential; familiarity with dental terminology is a plus. Experience with office management software such as Dentrix or Epic is highly advantageous. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff. Ability to operate phone systems and other office equipment efficiently. A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
