Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Anaesthetic Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing safe and effective anaesthetic care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This position requires a strong commitment to patient safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities Administer anaesthesia to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. Monitor patients' vital signs and anaesthetic levels throughout the surgery. Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Conduct pre-operative assessments to evaluate patients' medical histories and anaesthetic risks. Provide post-operative care and support to patients as they recover from anaesthesia. Maintain accurate records of anaesthetic administration and patient responses. Stay updated with advancements in anaesthetic techniques and technologies. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a sterile environment. Qualifications Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with relevant anaesthetic qualifications. Proven experience in administering anaesthesia in a clinical setting is preferred. Strong understanding of pharmacology related to anaesthetics. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to continuous professional development and training in anaesthesia practices. Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines governing anaesthetic practice.
