We have a fantastic opportunity for 2 Surgery Interns to join our team.
We are an outgoing and friendly team, looking for enthusiastic hard-working vets who are willing to be part of the expanding Soft Tissue and Orthopaedic Surgical Service at Southfields, currently formed by four senior clinicians, two residents, and one intern.
Surgical interns at Southfields have an important role within the Service, as they are considered more like first-year residents and are allowed to manage their surgical patients, including owner communication. Furthermore, surgical interns usually assist the main senior clinician in theatre and are in charge of the follow-up of the patients until their discharge.

We offer great opportunities to gain experience and develop your surgical skills working together with European specialists of other specialties such as Oncology, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Neurology, Exotic, Maxillo-facial, Dentistry, and Anaesthesia in a brand-new state-of-the-art referral hospital inaugurated in September 2022.
Our equipment and facilities include seven fully equipped theatres with minimally invasive instruments (Storz arthroscopy and laparoscopy equipment) and a C-arm. We also have fully equipped orthopaedic and soft tissue instrumentation including vessel sealing devices such as Ligasure and Enseal devices and Piezotome bone cutter device.
