As a Second Chef at Barchester Healthcare, you will assist the Head Chef in developing and delivering high-quality, seasonal menus for the residents. You will work closely with the residents to tailor the menus to their preferences and needs, ensuring a warm and welcoming dining experience. The role also involves managing the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, completing regular audits, and maintaining stock control within a defined budget. 30 hours per week - 3 x 10 hour shifts - 07:30am-5:30pm Are you a qualified Chef looking to work with fresh seasonal food, with the opportunity to have more of a work life balance and make what you do matter? You will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well balanced menus whilst working with residents to tailor menus around them. Qualifications

You will need to hold a City & Guilds, NVQ, or SVQ equivalent qualification, along with a good understanding of nutrition and experience working with fresh, seasonal produce. A personable and warm approach, a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents, and the ability to create a welcoming environment are also essential for this role.
