We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to work as part of our team at Ward F Neath Port Talbot Hospital.

Ward F is a 21-bedded Acute Inpatient assessment ward based in Neath Port Talbot hospital. We care for both male and female patients primarily between the ages of 18-64 suffering from Acute Mental Illness. We are the single point of admission ward for the Health Board.

We value working as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team and this will include the successful applicant. We believe in working together for better outcomes for our patients and providing a holistic approach to recovery.

The post holder will assist in the promotion of equality for all clients through anti-discriminatory practice, supporting clients' rights, choices, personal beliefs and identity and by supporting clients with challenging behaviour and complex health needs through effective communication.

Main duties of the job To contribute to the development of those accessing continuing healthcare ensuring a holistic delivery of care and services which are coherent and consistently applied.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

NVQ Level 2 equivalent or working towards

Experience & Qualities

Understanding of confidentiality

Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner

Experience of working in Mental health
