and is for up to 150 children aged 4-19, who require the support of a specialised curriculum to enable them to thrive and reach their full potential. This school has a Therapy Department, consisting of Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists, ideal for an aspiring Speech and Language Therapist. This Learning Support Assistant role is an excellent opportunity to work closely and network with other teams of professionals, gaining relevant experience and expanding your knowledge and skillset. This role will give you essential experience within a challenging yet rewarding setting - career progression routes include SEN Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and various Child Psychology routes. Job Role and Responsibilities: Assist the class teacher in providing the learning experience for students Provide behaviour and pastoral support Build robust and effective relationships with students Adopt a practical approach to meet the individual needs of students Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills Be caring, compassionate, and a good listener Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students Ensure the safeguarding of students Attend staff meetings and complete appropriate CPD Start date ASAP, with trial days taking place to ensure the role and school are right for you. Excellent on-site training, support, and CPD are provided to ensure the safeguarding of all students. 80-90 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, term time only. No previous experience is required. If you have a Psychology / Criminology / Social Science degree, this is an excellent use of your degree. You MUST have the right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship.
