Due to the expansion of the MRI units operating hours we are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic MRI Radiographers with proven cross sectional experience to join our MRI teams at Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Once fully trained, you will be expected to perform a wide range of complex MRI examinations on state of the art Siemens equipment. Working in a tertiary referral centre, you will develop skills in MSK, ENT, cardiac, gynae, breast, HPB and paediatrics MRI scanning. Main duties of the job

The Radiology directorate performs a wide range of examinations supporting out patients, in patients and emergency department in HPB, renal, MSK, ENT, oncology, cardiac, breast, gynaecology and vascular examinations using state of the art Siemens equipment. The post is suited to qualified radiographers with an interest in MRI and cross sectional imaging. Proven experience in a broad range of MRI examinations & imaging techniques, including advanced techniques, MRI safety, good knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and pathology would be advantageous. Once fully trained, the post holder will take responsibility for producing images of a high standard, supervising and training junior staff, including radiography students. Good organisational interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a team or independently as required Evidence of leadership skills IT skills necessary for Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) EXPERIENCE

Broad range of MRI scanning experience Advanced MRI scanning procedures QUALIFICATIONS

HCPC registered BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent with significant post degree experience Post Graduate qualification in a clinical speciality, or post graduate specialist short courses or relevant specialist experience Important note on completion of reference section of Application Form All references from current and previous employers will be sought and must cover a minimum of 3 years employment.
