Provides new starter screening for all colleagues to ensure compliance with statutory and company standards. Ensures health surveillance is undertaken on all colleagues in accordance with the risk assessment legislation. Responds to sickness absence referrals and provides guidance to the business with regards to rehabilitation programmes, work adaptation, or redeployment so that appropriate action can be taken. Ensures the safekeeping of all confidential medical records in accordance with the business and NMC guidelines to ensure auditable information is in place. Provides advice on individual health issues and promotes health education within the workplace to maximise colleague understanding. What we're looking for
Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and successfully revalidated every three years. Experience within the occupational health arena, preferably in food manufacturing but not essential. A desire to nurture a career in the public health and wellbeing sector with a keen interest in undertaking the SCPHN qualification in occupational health. Fully conversant with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant guidance and data protection legislation. A good knowledge base of health promotion and health and safety at work.
