About the opportunity:
We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will:
Provide commercial leadership and strategic guidance to ensure projects are delivered cost-effectively and within budget. Prepare, analyse, and present detailed cost reports, providing regular updates to the project team and stakeholders. Implement effective cost control measures and value management strategies to optimize project value. Prepare monthly forecasts, Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports, and Profit & Loss statements to track financial performance. Oversee and manage the commercial aspects of construction projects, ensuring alignment with financial goals. Ensure effective cash flow management throughout the project lifecycle. Administer subcontractor payments, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and accurate processing. Offer expert advice on contractual matters, providing solutions to resolve potential disputes and mitigate risks.
About the benefits and rewards:
The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the residential industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and a basic salary in the region of up to £75k DOE. In addition to the basic salary, there will be further company benefits.
About the requirements: Degree in a relevant field. Wide experience in the discipline within the house building industry. Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry. Experience of COINS is desirable. Current CSCS card or equivalent is desirable. Committed to continuous professional development. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. IT literate with the ability to adapt to new systems.
