Transport Planner - European planning experience advantageous - Permanent Role
Salary: up to £34,000 PA (based on European experience)

Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:30 Silver Arrow Recruitment has a rare opportunity for a transport planner with a reputable, innovative transport & logistics group based in Middlewich, Cheshire. A transport manager CPC qualification is preferable, though not essential for candidates with the right attributes. A background in plant and agricultural machinery transportation would be beneficial; exposure to European operations would also be a significant advantage. Involvement with the scheduling and planning of modular building installation projects. Ensuring that the operation complies with all regulatory legislation and best practices. Ensuring consistently reliable driver behaviour concerning safety, legality, efficiency and profitability. Managing day-to-day issues of the remote driver workforce, including welfare and pastoral matters. Attending Customer conference calls and meetings where required. Dynamic evaluation of operational decisions likely to affect group performance and Customer experience. Daily liaison with line managers to identify operational exceptions and implement solutions. Balancing own fleet use and sub-contraction. Minimising fleet empty running. In this fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to a diverse Customer base. The ability to think laterally and make sound decisions will be essential. Additionally, you'll need the aptitude to develop a detailed understanding of the operation and the specific characteristics of the broader sector.
