They facilitate the smooth and timely processing of passengers and carry out aviation security duties across the airport. Day to day responsibilities include: Undergoing all required Security training to ensure full compliance with CAA (Civil Aviation Authority), company, and aviation legislation and safety procedures. Responsible for the screening of passengers and baggage in line with the regulations set by CAA. Monitoring the building and grounds through CCTV monitoring and physical patrols. Performing various paperwork and administrative duties. Working with my team and my colleagues from other departments to meet our goal of providing our passengers with a positive journey through our airport. Fully embracing the Airport’s ‘One Team’ culture and understanding that there may be times when I am required to undertake other activities to support the needs of the business. Understanding that the Airport is in operation 24/7, and being scheduled to work any shift during operating hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise To undertake this role, you need to meet the following requirements: Ability to pass a colour-blind test to enable use of the X-Ray Machines. Strong communication skills to confidently communicate with colleagues and customers at all levels. Excellent standards of customer service, quality, and attention to detail. Residency in the UK for the last 3 years (part of vetting requirements for CTC background checks). Experience in both security and aviation (not essential, but preferred).
