Job overview An exciting opportunity has arisen on the Renal Unit for a Clinical Support Worker to join the renal dialysis nursing team at Arrowe Park Hospital. We are a busy unit providing outpatient and inpatient haemodialysis for around 90 patients, over 3 shifts, 6 days a week. We are looking to recruit highly motivated individuals who play an integral role at all stages of a patient's care. As a Clinical Support Worker, you will be a valuable part of the nursing team. You will find yourself assisting patients with hygiene and comfort needs, taking blood pressure and pulse rates, communicating with colleagues and patients and record keeping. The applicants for these posts do not require any previous experience but will need to demonstrate significant commitment to developing themselves to support the nursing team in caring for patients on haemodialysis. This means learning to prepare dialysis machines and the dialysis unit for patient treatments as well as other care related duties that supports patient comfort during dialysis.
